Oops

Its been one month since I posted last....oops.

News with me:
* I am now a college graduate and couldn't be happier :)
* I still have no job, but am looking. Hopefully I will know by mid summer.
* I have been doing a lot of cleaning and relaxing!!!!!
* I have a new camera, so check out the photos on Facebook! I should be taking lots and lots!!!!!!!!!!!!

For the summer, it looks like I will be playing the waiting game with jobs but I do have lots of fun things planned. In June, I have two awesome friends getting married. One June 6th and one June 20th. :) I am pretty excited to share their day with them! Daniel and I are planning on going to Washington D.C. for our first anniversary! I can't wait but its crazy to think we have been married a year already! And of course, get down to Wilmington sometime for Fathers Day! It will be a crazy month!

My wonderful nieces are doing amazing! Eva will be 4 months old this month and is developing like crazy! I can't wait to see her again so I take awesome pictures with my camera! She is able to understand you talking to her and respond with hand signals or sounds. At 4 months old, she is completing wonderful stages in development! I must say, I am a super proud aunt!!!!

Madisen is a crazy adorable mess. She is a year and a half and is super smart! Her understanding of the world is awesome to see. She loves to dance and fake cry. She did come to my graduation and I have some of the cutest pictures of her!!! I hope to be able to babysit her some this summer!!!!

SUMMER has officially started for me, and it is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Library

Daniel has sent me to the library to get books. I went. I saw. I left.

They had no books that I wanted to read at the current time or did the have the books I was interested in reading in the near future. They were checked out or at different locations.

I don't like the library.

Barnes and Nobels seem to have all the books I want to read in surplus. Then I can get them and read them when I want.

Daniel didn't like this. I have been limited to buying one book a month. :) I think its a fair deal.

Summer Vacation!

Starting a week ago, I am now on SUMMER VACATION! :) It feels good, but this time should be spent looking for a job! We were always told in the school of ed, finding a job would be easy...except not. Even teachers are having a hard time finding a job.

This week looks like fun! Daniel's birthday is tomorrow :) He will be 25 this year. It is crazy! This is the 9th birthday I have spent with him. I always try to make it fun and exciting, we will have to see what I come up with this year.

Other than that, life here has been boring :) and I love it for right now. I am just watching the tree turn beautiful shades of green, the grass grow and spending tons of time outside! We have def. gotten our April Showers...which is good, but it seems like it is raining all the time!

I am currently reading 2 books about angels, 1 book about vampires and the other about creation :). In the mean time, I am playing the piano and organizing the house. I like to keep busy :)

I just don't understand

I will never understand why people cause drama. I have attempted to move away from drama (literally and figuratively). Yet, some how it still finds me. I have never enjoyed getting my name dragged through the mud and don't do it to other people.

My parents always taught me "Treat others how you want to be treated". I wonder why all parents can't be that wonderful and teach their children that?!?

It just bothers me, sorry.

I think there will always be more important things to worry about and think about then who said what and why.

I have learned a couple of things from years of drama:
* My family makes me happiest.
* Daniel is my best friend and will listen to me no matter what. He always puts things in perspective and I love that.
* I will be as good of a friend as you are to me. However, I will not make you feel guilty about having a life and other people outside of me. Nor will I get mad at you for it. Been on that side of it, and hate it.
*99.9 % of the time, it doesn't matter.

For happier news: I am in the process of reading 4 books at one time (yes, it is true). The first is "The Magicians Nephew" which is by C.S. Lewis. It is a little rough for me to get through but I am trying. The second is "Night World vol 2.". This book is strictly for entertainment. It is very good though but you have to enjoy "Twilight" to enjoy it. The third is "Prep". I am not very far into it, however...it seems really good and I can't wait to let you know. And the last is the one I am most interested in "Fallen Angels and the origins of evil". It is about the Book of Enoch which did not make it into the bible. I am not far but it is an intense but fascinating read :)

(And Daniel told me, I can't buy anymore books...that I must go to the library. I wonder why? :) )

Why not?

Seems like everyone has a blog now, so why not start one? This way, maybe all my long lost family can know what is going on!

What is going on now:

I have officially completed and passed student teaching. I am still in the Kindergarten classroom until April 10th, but then I'm done. I am looking for some jobs in about 4-5 counties around the area. I have not decided on a grade, although...I do think I would be better in younger grades. The older grades appeal to me, especially the curriculum but I love the younger grades attitudes towards learning. I do love my students now and will hate to leave them. But I think that is how it goes for every teacher.

My college graduation is May 15th. I will officially have my B.S. in Elementary Education with a concentration in Political Science. I think I am ready to get a job...and get paid! I'm sure Daniel is :)

Daniel, Dot and I are doing great! We have almost been married a year..it is hard to believe. We really like life in Greensboro, but sure do miss the mountains. We love our house and are currently in the process of painting the rooms. So far, we have one done :) That is good, considering the fact we have been super busy!

But overall, life is going well. I still have big plans in travel this year..just need to find the time. I want to go to Washington D.C., Las Vegas, California and back to Disney World. Then of course, I am still looking to travel abroad to many islands and Ireland. I believe getting in all the travel before we have kids will be great. Then I can go to kid friendly places (such as Disney World :) ) more often!!!!
